Two issues:
1) What kind of velocity is lost going from a g19 barrel to a g26 (especially with +p loads)?
I did some searching but didnt have any luck and thought you could help.
2) I got an extended ported barrel from Lone Wolf Dist. for my g19 and it seems that the chambers is much tighter, will this change over time?
After installing the barrel and testing cycling with snap caps I tried with corbon +p 125gr HP and had to fight to extract a chambered round. Other HPs and FMJs were easier than corbon's but harder than with OEM barrel. The rifling had a tight grip on the bullet.
When I went to the range, it functioned find except for an early stove pipe (case was mouth down, primer pointed at sun). After some shooting I found that I could more easily hand cycle, but still have to use more force with the corbon. However, I am still concerned because ejected brass do not fly as far or in as consistent a direction as with the stock barrel. The ports offer a small but noteworthy reduction in muzzle flip, more so with +p ammo, which now feels more like the cheap plinking stuff.
Although I did not think the Lone Wolf barrel would be good for carry, I was hoping it would so I could drop my g19 barrel in the g26.
