View Full Version : All in favor of closing the 40 S&W Club Steve Koski 06-13-2007, 20:59 Vote here: romotx 06-13-2007, 21:54 no thanks Glock: For Hire 06-13-2007, 23:52 NO! GMT 06-14-2007, 09:10 Hell no TLHelmer 06-14-2007, 18:48 Why? watsoncb 06-14-2007, 20:50 I vote: No. If there is a need for an admin for the group I would be willing to. SDGlock23 06-14-2007, 20:56 Nope. XDHSr 06-14-2007, 20:59 Didn't even know there was a .40 S+W club until I saw this thread. Just got my G23 last month. Glockdude1 06-14-2007, 21:04 watsoncb, That is one sweeeeeeet avatar!!! Now, what was the topic of discussion??? pasqual 06-15-2007, 09:04 No!!! dhoomonyou 06-15-2007, 16:27 YES, nothing in it anyway. I still check it everyday. whatever. LurkMastR 06-15-2007, 17:07 Why close it? Sure there isn't much traffic here, but that just means it's easier to keep up with all the posts. ;) Rusty Guns 06-16-2007, 09:10 No!! I don't think so Steve I'm just getting back into the computer, and would miss seeing your green face. Still have both my 40's, and out of all my pistols they would be the last to leave. 22's, 9's, 40's, and 45's and I like them all. I don't have the equipment to reload, but I may have to one of these days. But I have been saving all my brass. I just can't seem to get the primers out of those pesky 22's. See ya later Rusty Giggity-Giggity 06-16-2007, 14:26 Nah. sandhiller 06-17-2007, 20:09 Nope deerhunter34 06-17-2007, 20:25 Bought a 23 and a 27 based on info I read here. Surprises me that more posts aren't here since the 40 is supposed to be so popular, but the nine clubs aren't much different. Keep it open for a goood exchange of info. p.s. Sportsman's Guide has Federal Classic 155's early generation hydra shock for $59.99 for 250. $56 for club members. They are marked "not for law enforcement" but they shoot extremely accurate in my 23. BuffaloBo 06-18-2007, 21:24 As per usual, Koski has too much time on his hands. He's just stirrin' the pot. He's a legend in his own mind, no where else, however. RyanNREMTP 06-20-2007, 15:05 I just discovered this club and this forum recently. Keep it open. Oh I own a Glock 22. DDEL 06-22-2007, 17:42 How about closing this retard thread? El_Ron1 06-22-2007, 17:56 How 'bout a forum kaboom? Ak.Hiker 06-23-2007, 00:41 The 40 club is good to keep around. Keep in mind most of the people that shoot the 40 S&W are to busy shooting and buying ammo they are limited in the amount of time they have to post. tjbert47 06-24-2007, 18:22 Originally posted by GMT Hell no +1 Tom in TN LurkMastR 06-24-2007, 19:05 I think a lot of the posts that could be posted here in the 40 S&W club end up in the General Glocking forum. DonGlock26 06-28-2007, 16:46 No. The gun clubs don't get as many posts because there are no direct links. Brass Nazi 06-28-2007, 17:00 I think we should close the foe tee forum and open a 32H&R magnum forum. Morris 06-28-2007, 22:48 No. I withhold contributions if that were to happen (no idle threat I tell ya! ). 4eyes 06-28-2007, 23:11 I agree with Koski. There are no glock 40s because they all Kaboomed. Can't imagine anyone buying a second one. Only reason I can think of to continue this club is to tell Kaboom stories and caution each other about quicker Kabooms if only one lead bullet goes off in those unsupported chambers. All posters here with un-Kaboomed 40s have NIB pistols and are trying to trade for a 9. Fact: Glock 40 owners have a higher percentage of paranoia than any other caliber. Address all replies to Koski. mike23 07-01-2007, 11:06 Originally posted by 4eyes I agree with Koski. There are no glock 40s because they all Kaboomed. Can't imagine anyone buying a second one. The volume of negative replies to this thread validates the need to continue the .40 S&W club. Contrary to the opinions of some folks, the G23 and G27 are two of the highest rated carry guns, and are revered for their accuracy and reliability. The absence of complaints about the .40s may account for the dearth of threads, but that's a good thing. DonGlock26 07-04-2007, 21:43 You can't close it- Man Law. I know we should keep it current but with all the shotin' brass polishin' reloadin' and more shootin' there is little time for typin':animlol:  Lets keep it!  MOHAA Player 07-22-2007, 13:12 I just bought another G22 yesterday. It's a fantastic caliber, the same size weapon as a 9mm with high capacity and balistics that mirror the 45acp,whats not to love about the 40cal:thumbsup: LE agencies across the U.S. that switched to the 40cal have reported better results then the 9mm. Whats not to like. Its keeps on ticking even if its getting a lick-in. The 23 has been flawless for me and my favorite carry auto and cal. bkean 08-31-2007, 19:36 Originally posted by DonGlock26 You can't close it- Man Law. HEHE:animlol: mitchshrader 09-15-2007, 14:12 ah, to heck with it. yeah, it's obsolete since the .357 sig anyway.. nobody needed a 10mm short to start with.. keep at least a FEW folks from losing their thumbs..... Heck, even the bangers learned you had to shoot em sideways..:tongueout: RonC 09-15-2007, 14:39 Doesn't look like this proposal will pass. So, howabout combining Reloading Forum with Ox and Alex Forum. Seems to mostly address same weighty issues, lately. vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
