View Full Version : A&G grip extenders
Did anyone find these of anything but a waste of money or did I not install them properly?

Well... this is the perfect product for those who bought a G26 or G27 and later found out they might have been better off with the slightly larger G19 or G23. Sure you can just insert the larger magazines directly into your subcompact, but the sleeves do provide a more hand filling, more finished looking result. I added some grip tape to mine and like it quite a bit.

tell more about what it is you dont like and what you like.... post some pics...
Which extender do you have? They are basically worthless. If you want a long grip, you might as well go one model larger. The grip is what prints when concealed. If you're going with a long grip, and not getting the benefit of the longer slide, you're getting used. Novelty at it's best. As posted above, if you bought smaller than you wanted and are trying to make do, they may work for you.

I bought one to put on a 15 round G19 mag that I carry as a reload. I agree that there is no point (in my mind) to use it as a primary carry mag. In that case I'll just carry the 19

I have a couple of them and I'm not too impressed. I mean they do fill the gap, but you have to mare your magazine because of the screw digging into it, and the gaps aren't even on both sides. You get the gaps right, go to tighten it up, and bam! Uneven again...

They work just right, for what they are intended. I use compact mags, in all my sub-compacts and have absolutely no problem concealing. The longer grip is no issue, if one dresses around the gun!
Send me all the ones you don't want anymore.

actually...they're worth quite a bit if you use them on your spare/backup mags...
9+1 in the G27, plus two 15rd spares...:)

Worthless to me as well. I carry fullsize spare mags, and they work just fine without an extender. I know some folks that like them, though.

I have one on my G27 and like it just fine. It seems to work extremely well with a Robar grip reduction and I actually have better control of the gun with the A&G on than I do with a Pearce 0-round finger extension. I am leaving mine on. Each to his own.
