You bet your !@#. It does a great job keeping the recoil down but more importantly (maybe mine is just special), accuracy was better than my OEM G27 barrel. Granted, I was shooting up front and personal but I was really nailing that center circle on a B-34 target out to about 7 yards. With the OEM barrel, I was hitting better than center mass certainly good enough. Was it the longer length, reduced recoil, barrel/fit design of the LW that contributed to the improvement? I don't know, possibly all of the above but I am very pleased. So pleased in fact, that I am going to leave the LW in for carry. I just shot 200 rounds without one single failure. Now I want a LW .357 SIG ported barrel for the same gun. It does make a difference in the Glock minis especially the hard hitting G27/33.
By the way, I am using a Wolf non-captured recoil assembly with the 18# Wolf spring (16# is the factory rated). I like it a lot especially after my OEM recoil assembly fell apart after 300 rounds. I think the Wolf system is a far stronger part and I recommend it in the Glock 27/33. The 18# I noticed takes a lot of the "slam bang" out of the gun when shooting .357 SIG. But either is fine.
