View Full Version : CDNN +2 extensions
I just ordered 10 more G22 mags for my Glock 23. That will bring me to a grand total of 20 G22 mags and 5 23 mags. All but 3 of the G23 mags came from CDNN and came with the +2 extensions. (well I havent recieved the 10 I just ordered but they should.) I installed a few on my 22 mags and like the look and the added capacity but I'm curious about there durability. It looks like they could pop of pretty easily just by design. They just snap aound the lips at the base of the mag. Anyone had any problems with them? Should they be range toys and nothing more? I tought about adding a drop of superglue to keep them in place but it would make future disasembly a lot harder.
I'm planning on adding a OD G35 and a Kel-tec sub-2000 to the collection as soon as I find them locally. The mag extensions would be nice in both. Especially the sub-2k

If you want "plus" extensions on your mags, make sure they are made by Glock (the part is 7151).
Use 'em for a while. When one pops off and a dozen rounds come flying out, you'll switch back to the standard floorplate.
I've dropped my magazines onto bare concrete during IDPA stages dozens of times each. Slapped one of those on a magazine and dropped, empty.
It popped off on the second hit.

CDNN gives them away free for a reason. I just pity any poor shmo who actually pays CDNN $2.99 each (plus $9.99 shipping) for them!
i've had a few break with just the loaded ammo putting pressure aginst it. on the other hand i use them on some mags including USPSA usage and haven't had one break yet from being exected to the ground. i sure wouldn't use them for anything that really mattered.

Pearce makes a great alternative, the PG-39. I use those and Glock OEM, I just wish the Glock OEM looked as good as the Pearce. Anyhoo... Don't use the CDNN free one's..

I agree if the Pearce is on a subcompact. I think they look funny on a compact or especially a full-size mag--makes the pistol look like it was built for a six-fingered shooter!
