View Full Version : Decal Grip
Does anyone have experience with "Decal Grip" for a G27? Does it make the grip any better?
it does for me. i use 3m skate tape from the hardwear store for about 1.50$ per foot.

Does it come off easily, if you don't need it.

I have had the Decal Grip on my G21 for about 3 years.
I carry it daily and it gets drug accross all manner of things. After three years one edge is starting to lift about 1mm. It's not a big deal and if I was worried about it, I would just trim the edge.
The Decal Grip makes a HUGE difference if your hands are sweaty. After shooting for weeks outdoors in 90+ degree heat, I had to have something to keep the weapon from rotating in my hand.
The only drawback is that it is ROUGH. I dont use it on my G26 because it would remove the skin from my sides quite effectively.
You may also want to look into the A-Grip. Some of our officers use that instead. It seems to be softer, but still grippy when wet.
Thanks Fellas!...It's nice to have some experienced input.

D-Grip is noting more than Die-Cut 3-M "Safet-Walk Syn Rubber tape that can be found in most Specialty Hardware Stores. Dusty Depot use to sell it for .69 cents per foot for the 1" sidth, also comes in 2 & 4". It's adhesive is exc. and easiy to peel off if one makes a mistake. The rubber texture wore down on own 34 before the adhesive failed! Just Great stuff! Comes in gray or black. Easy to make a tracing then a template to cut the tape with an X-Acto style razor knife.

I have used the skateboard tape also. The only drawback is that it will wear a hole in your uniform shirt in a short amount of time if it is used on the body side of your weapon.
