Comp-Tac Mag Pouches for g19 and g26

Anybody know why the Comp-Tac mag pouches for the g19 and g26 are listed as different items?

I assumed they would be the same since the top of either mag is the same. However, on their site Comp-Tac list one product for Glock's 19/23/32 and there is another listing for Glock's 26/27/28/33.

What's the difference?

I am thinking about getting a mag carrier from them, but would prefer to get one that would carry both G19 and G26 mags.

Best thing to do is give them a call and ask. Second best is to read my attempt at a guess: the G26 pouches are shorter in height than the G19 and G17 pouches to prevent the short mags from being inserted too deeply?

I was afraid it would come to that Jeff :)

I called and spoke with JB (very friendly and helpful as I have always heard) this morning. He explained that the Mag carriers they have for g19s and g26s are the same product, covering about 2 inches of the magazine. He explained that they decided to list subcompact mags and compact mags separately because customers who didnt understand that these mags had most of the same demensions had trouble recognizing the mag carrier they could use. Sounds like Comp-Tac gets fewer inquiries by listing the carriers this way.

I didnt think to ask about the listing for fullsize mags (g17) because I dont have one, but I would bet that they are also the same product. If you are ordering, just make sure to order the model that corresponds to your calliber :thumbsup:
