Seeking recommendations on a top of the line Python gunsmith--not someone who is just good with revolvers but someone who has worked successfully on Colt revolvers(which as you know are different from S&W and others). Thanks in advance.

I cannot say for certain these people are Python Specialists, but they appear to know a thing or two about handguns. You could give 'em a call.

I agree. These brothers are artists. You don't want a shade tree gun smith working on a Python.

The good smiths seem to be very busy, so I ended up sending it back to Colt for a timing check and a tune up. Colt charges $52 for a full hour of gunsmith work so they are competitive and promised good turn around time.
