Mga pards, maganda talagang mag bagaybagay ang mga artist sa atin. Even the older version of the Army DPM is adopted by the Chinese PLA.

That camo pattern has been with the AFP for more than five years now. When the 78th IB was assigned to our area in 2001 after serving in Mindanao, that was the camo pattern that they were wearing already. According to the soldiers, the new camo blends well with the vegetation back home, compared to the old Woodlands camo that were US surplus.
New camo patterns of the Philippine Marines and SWAG were shown during the Oakwood Mutiny.:)

SWAG pic. gallery is quite old. If you can find a link to the Oakwood Mutiny with pics, you could see the officers wearing the new SWAG camo.
Dati SWAG, I think the unit was renamed NAVSOG (NAVAL SPECIAL OPERATIONS GROUP) after the infamous Oakwood Mutiny. Here is their latest Tiger Strip uniform (and some variations thereof)

Yung sa buong Philippine Marine Corps, take a look na lang at the walk-around during their latest review at Fort Boni (last March)

ahhh our BDA and Tigerstripes come in different shades:) must be due to different suppliers. IMHO, the BDA is too dark and the boots would be better if they are brown.
The tigerstripes are used by our special forces and NAVSOG, and I think it does not blend well in both rural and urban settings. But it does look japorms:)

Cebuboy. thx sa mga magagandang pics nyo. Tutuo talagang dark masyado ang kulay . I bet it gets very hot wearing those esp in our Philippine climate. I remember the Vietnam plain OD issued in the 80s was just perfect . Bakit kaya pinalitan to this one?
The newer ones is more bearable, the material is lighter compared to the ones used 5 years ago:) The workmanship and durability just sucks... You have to re sew the buttons or you will loose them and the stitches will just split at times.

The plain OD didn't blend well to the local terrain. That's one reason why the Philippine Marines designed their own camo pattern (as well as the Army). The camo shades are common to the foliage and terrain. The PSG also have their own urban camo. And the AFP would also like to have its own identity.
The latest Army camos are so well designed they even make the weapons look like part of the foliage...

Gademet! Yung isa naka trigger finger in pa! :)
Mahirap talaga maging sundalo dito sa atin. Taos pusong serbisyo sa bayan lang ang nakikita kong dahilan kung bakit natitiis ng mga tropa natin ang kondisyon nila ngayon.
Yung lousy bug, commence exercise!

PLA magkapareho ang pattern ng AFP.
It looks like the British Regiment pattern from the early 80's.

China's humid south and green vegetation blends well . Similar to RP as well.
