How long do I have until I need to get a FOID card since I just moved here?

You need to get a FOID as soon as you become a resident. There is no grace period.
Now is a good time to apply as this is the slower processing period. If you wait until August then hunters who don't think to check their gear until hunting season find out their FOID has expired and the renewal applications backlog the system.
