I know everyone has their own brand of ammo they prefer over others. What is yours and why?
So far I like the Winchester 180 grain for mine. I haven't shot much so I haven't had much chance to try others. Plus Winchester is cheap at Wal-mart for me to buy for target practice.

I shoot Steve Koski brand .40 ammo almost exclusively. The price is 30% - 50% of factory ammo.
I'll shoot anything for practice, usually it's CCI or WWB.
I used to reload but I felt like a factory production line worker, and I'm just not wired to sit still that long!
I use Doule Tap ammo exclusively for SD. Mostly because they don't serve up wimpy loads for Joe Public and then box up something better for LE.

Try a progressive press. You can turn out 400-600 rounds an hour.
WWB 180gr is a smooth shooter. Currenty I've been practcing with WWB 165gr (100 value packs). Use GS 165gr for SD.
Reloading is the way to go when shooting a lot!
I agree with Koski. I carry Speer Gold Dots, but I shoot my own hand rolled .40 S&W. Hand loaded with care, and no worries at all.
