Has anyone tried this stuff yet?
40gr bullet at 1450fps. That's a 200fps increase over regular high velocity. Price seems to be on par with Stinger. It touts the use of "Gold Dot" technology in it's bullet.

I heard from my local FFL dealer that all of it was recalled from distibutors because of a labelling problem with the boxes. Something about the handgun velocity listed on the box being in error, and the factory didn't want any sold until it was fixed.
I've been trying to get some for over a month, hope it becomes available soon. Sounds pretty hot!
not yet but as soon as i can find some.these should really be the ticket for a semi auto 22 like my ruger mk11.i use the cci stingers now because the cycle the slide so nicely.

My dealer had 4 boxes on Saturday. I bought em all. They run $4 per box of 50. I probably won't get to shoot them for a few weeks though. I'll keep you posted.

BLiTzNicK,
Would you be kind enough to ask your dealer which distributor he purchased it from? If I can get that info, I'll ask my dealer to contact the distributor and see if they have any more. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
By the way, do the boxes you bought have any modifications (stickers covering/changing any info on the box, etc)? Just curious, wondering if someone fed my dealer a line of BS concerning the packaging changes. Thanks again.

Dealer is Borders in Ashland, KY. Phone number is (606) 928-6326.
Below is some eye-candy for you. There are no visible altercations of the box as far as I can tell. The only sticker is the price sticker.

Thanks much for the info. Now to light a fire under my dealer friend!
If you shoot any of it soon, let us know how it works, OK?
Thanks again.
just picked up 10 boxes (500 rounds) from Walmart at $3.97 a box. I shot it along with CCI mini-mags, and CCI stingers for comparison using my browning buckmark and a ruger 10/22. I haven't had a chance to look at the energy compared to the stinger, but I would wager that it is close because of the 40g bullet (versus 32 in the stinger). It definitely has a louder report and more felt recoil (still not much - it is a 22 after all) than the mini-mags, and was comparable to the stingers. Accuracy is as good as any decent 22 cartidge without getting into target specific ammo such as eley. Shooting offhand with my 10/22T at 25 yards I was able to keep 1 1/2" groups. At 50 yards from a bench it held 1/2" groups. I plan on using it for small game hunting with my 10/22T since the tighter chamber won't reliably shoot stingers. Didn't get a chance to pop a critter yet, but I think CCI has definitely made a good product here. Glad to see Walmart is stocking the stuff.

Thanks for the heads-up about Wal-Mart carrying it.

are these better than rem yellow jackets?

Yeah, they use a full weight bullet (40grs) instead of the 32,33 or 36gr bullets that Stingers,Yellowjackets,Vipers and other hyper velocity .22s use.

Go to www.rimfirecentral.com and do a search on the CCI Velocitor. Someone on there has already done a review of it..
