...and wondering who among us has had their G-36 for the longest period of time? I know I'm not a contender as I have only had mine for about 8 months. So, when did you first get your G-36?

Strange one. Bought it in April, but was born on 7/29/04. Maybe it went into hiding from some G36 bashers.
And, even before shooting it, it went back to Glock for a recall issue.
After farting on the first round, FTE, it has purred for the next 149.

Mine has an early serial number but it was well used by the time I got it. It has the early type G36 barrel that Glocks says they will replace but I'll just buy a factory replacement so I can keep the original matching barrel.

March 2000, I bought 4 at $400 a piece. I gave 1 to my dad, 1 to my father-in-law, and 1 to my brother-in-law who just graduated from the acadamy. (Thought it would make a great BUG). For me it made a huge difference in quality of life after concealing a G17 for 5 years.

I love my G36.

By the way, that day in Aug. 2000, I collected $1200 as well. I'm not THAT nice. :supergrin:

Bought mine in march, put about 300 rounds thru it and blew it up July 5th. shipped to glock that day, still waiting to hear from them.

BTW it was winchester white box 230gr fmj ammo that I was shootin when it KA-BOOMED. :sad:
