Are the new reincarnation of Charter Arms revolvers any good? A store by here is selling new CA revolvers around the same price as the used S&W and Taurus revolvers. I'm really tempted to get the pathfinder one in .22 magnum to go with a .22wmr rifle I have.
Same price as a Taurus, I would go with the CA...Same as a S&W at the same weight...I can't believe it. I can see an Off Duty being near the same price as a Ta.urus, but the lighter Smiths like the 642 go for about $80 more at Buds (and the Off duty is still 4 oz lighter)
As for my CA off duty, I traded a Taurus CIA for it and the trigger is way better, it is much lighter and it shoots well. Finding molded Kydex holsters for them can be a bit harder based on their thicker barrel (my RM lowrider for my wife's 642 wont work with my off duty). If you find these two at the same price, go with the Smith...but there is nothing wrong with the Charter.
