Does anyone know what the trigger pull weight is on a S&W 351PD? I figure since it is a rimfire it has got to be heavy, but how heavy is it? Is it as bad as the 317 or worse.
I can't find that number anywhere on the net, and I cannot get my hands on a store display.

I have one. I ordered a regular mainspring for it and tested it out. 100% reliable. The rimfire mainsprings are heavier but not always necessary obviously. If you have another J-frame, put it in and test it out.

So the 351 trigger is heavy enough to warrant switching the mainspring. Otherwise you like the gun? I'm thinking of getting one. It will be my first rimfire revolver.

I really like the gun. I wrap it in a handerchief and put it in my front pocket. I carry it when I'm on the boat and when I work in the yard. I carry 50 gr. Federal HP's, the heaviest bullet I've found. I carry 14 extra rds. in a film container. Here's a crappy pic, I need to fix something on my camera.
