I'm living here now, but haven't gotten a new drivers license. I've been here almost 2 weeks now.

Can I sell a Beretta 96 like new condition on craigslist here?

Or do I have to get a new drivers license that says FL first?

I'm not sure but you are breaking the law anyway. You are supposed to get a FL drivers lic within 10 days of establishing residency.

I would wait until you are officially a FL resident.

Isn't "almost two weeks" around 10 days?

Get an Appt. at the DMV, otherwise plan on spending half your day there.

I'm staying in a hotel. Not an apt and don't have a job. So I don't have an address or anything. To FL I'm just a vacationer right now I think.

I think it'd be best until you established residency, then sell your handgun.

What type of work are you looking for?

Me too. After you establish resiency you can do a FTF sale with another FL resident. Personally I won't do a FTF with anyone that doesn't have a concealed weapons permit. I was at the WPB gun show once and had a guy all lined up to sell to. Soon as I asked for his permit he was acting funny so I refused to sell to him. This is just a personal thing of mine.

I've done a lot of odd things. I have always done computer repair and builds on the size. Security (for a couple months) Very crappy employer. I'll take what I can find, but for now I have some saved up money and enjoying the beach.

No, not in Lake County. Lakeland is in Polk County, just west of you. I work for the schoolboard here.

You know, I should have known that it was Polk County....

Well good luck with the next school year. I will be teaching at a different school this year so I'm pretty excited.

Look Here:
Chapter 790 Florida Statutes - Weapons and Firearms (http://www.flsenate.gov/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&URL=Ch0790/titl0790.htm&StatuteYear=2006&Title=%2D%3E2006%2D%3EChapter%20790)

Pretty much everything you need to know about Florida Firearms Laws.

I will be also, and I too, am also excited. My new principal seems like an easygoing guy.

I worked for a female Hitler last year...couldn't wait to jump ship. As a matter of fact, I wasn't the only one to leave because of her...
