View Full Version : Pre-Ban vs. Post-Ban
Iowa Hick

I've been trying to find the barrel I want for my new AR build and one site offered the same barrel as Pre-ban or Post-ban. So what's the difference between the two? Is there any advantage of one over the other?
Thanks.
Post ban means that there's no evil features like a flash hider, bayonet mount, or collapsible stock. If you live in a free state (which your info indicates you do in Iowa), there's NO reason to buy a post ban gun. Get a pre-ban (aka no-ban) and be happy.
Get a pre ban. It will piss hillary off.
Federally there is no pre or post ban anymore, as the so called AWB expired in 2004.
LE markings don't mean much on magazines anymore.
Depending on state laws, buy whatever you want and put on whatever you want. Of course you still have that 1934 law to deal with.
