View Full Version : Magazines For Rock River
i'm a little confused as to what mags will or won't work in a 9mm rock river rifle. the cheapers ones i've seen are plastic "waffel" mags but i don't know what they'll fit. from looking at RR web site i'd guess sten mags since they sell unmodified sten mags along with mags for the rifle. if it does take a sten mag what's it take to modify a sten mag to work? thanks for any help on this.

The platic promags will fit with the rock river block as will modified Uzi mags . RRA sells their own mag and it is made by C products which also has a new 9mm mag on the market.

I run 100% promags on my 9mm.
I took a dremel and a sanding wheel to the front area to smooth things up and get reliable feeding.
The promags won't drop free when there are 10+ rounds in them but empty they drop right out.
C-product is making a 9mm mag for the AR, they have 2 different ones I think depending on the mag-block you're using.
RRA has their own mag they designed but is being produced by CProducts.
Modified Uzi mags run in the "Colt style" mag block too.
Finally there's the expensive Colt mags.
I run Promags right out of the box and have had zero issues.
thanks everyone. my wife is going to call today and order me a RR ar in 9mm for PCC class. i was just a bit confused on mags.
I looked on promag web site for RRA or AR etc, don't see a listing, would you happen to have the promag part item number so my FFL guy can order for me ?

You can order it direct too and skip the middle man.
