Just bought a Taurus PT1911 on Saturday. Haven't even had a chance to shoot it, yet.
I must say, that after years of playing with plastic guns, I feel much more comfortable with a 1911 in my hand. It just feels right...doesn't it?
Welcome to the 1911 world. Just one word of caution on your Taurus. Make sure your front sight blade is centered on the slide. If not, send it back to Taurus. This has been a common problem on these.

Looks to be centered up to me. Thanks for the heads up!
Welcome to your new addiction
Congrats. 1911's are the class of the handgun world, IMO.

Welcome and congrets on picking up one of the greatest platforms in the history of firearms. I'm sure you will find, as I have, that no other pistol shots as well... so so accurate.

A 1911 in your hands feels just right to me... your mileage may vary...
Congrats on the Taurus, I am waiting for mine to come in. I can't wait, it will be my first 1911.

Welcome to the world of 1911s.
Another cool thing about them is that if it doesn't feel just right in your hands you can choose from arched, wedged or flat backstraps, a variety of grip widths and contours as well as different trigger lengths to arrive at the perfect setup for you.

It begins. First it will be a nice holster... oh these wilson combat magazines look nice... do you have those grip panels in camel?... I could really use a commander size 1911 to keep my full size company... and on and on. This was my progression, and it only took about three weeks. Enjoy the new pistol.
