S&W sigma .380 [Archive]

I just picked up one of these. I really like the feel in the store. haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. But several of my friends think it's a bad gun. They tell me it's Out of production now, and will be worn out after 2,000 rounds or so. Darn!

Are they correct? anyone have any long time experience with this gun?

I don't seem to find any holsters listed for it. Will it fit in a holster made for a more popular gun?

I have had 2 but none now. They're all right don't know long term. pretty accurate but got some recoil for 380. I would buy another if i found good buy. My first cost 250,this was when they first came out. Then my 2nd was about a year ago and paid 100 bucks for it.:)

Very little available for the SW380.

Might have something to do with it being discontinued.

Not to mention it's ~2500 round service life.

The universal-fits work. Mostly. Some bright spots among them.

As you approach the 1500-2000rd mark, start looking for a replacement.

Yes, that's personal experience.

pos.at beat a 2500 round gun.this ia strickly a cayy often shoot hardly ever kind of carry gun, shoot her a few rounds for funtability then clean her up and carry her from then on.iyt will serve you well in a emergency.if you try and shoot this gun now and then youll soon find problems with reliability!:banana:

at 2000 rounds if you even make it that far,just send her back to S&W and they will rebuild the little smegma back to origonal spec.

When another fellow had worn out a SW380, he found S&W reluctant to rebuild the SW380, and instead received another model for a song.

Informed speculation is that they are unable or unwilling to support the model further.
