I cant access my hotmail e-mail on my desktop computer, via a browser since I installed my NetGear Firewall. I have played with a few setting but this is admittedly over my head. What settings or options do I need to alter to get a sucessful login into hotmail?
thanks

Are you logging into hotmail via a webrowser or a mail application? If a mail application your firewall might be blocking port 110.

Its the web browser that is failing to connect. I can use an application. I realized this morning another website that I use to retrieve information wont work either. As soon as I hit search (or log in- in the Hotmail instance) it just sits there trying but nothing ever happens. I tried with Firefox and Explorer with the same results. I have turned off Zone Alarms- didn't change anything. I guess I will have to give Netgear a call.
