The subject says it all. How accurate are the laser grips? Is the dot at POA or POI?
They are adjustable for POA/POI, so you can put the dot where you want it. I used to hate lasers, but have really come around in the last few years. Esp with the CT grips. Accuracy can be obtained by the shooter using CT lasers and or sights. Trigger control and follow through help here too.
The laser has a windage and heigth adjustment. The first question is at what distance do I want POA/POI? For a carry weapon I would make this adjustment for about 10 yards. After the laser is calibrated for your distance, its all on the shooter and trying to keep that little red dot steady. Me and my girlfriend can do sub five inch groups at twenty five yards in double action with any of my snubbies. It just takes a lot of practice.
I bought a laser/light combo many years ago when I bought my Glock 23. I just thought it was cool and it drove the neighbors cat wacky. Now I am seriously thinking of LG-405 grips for my S&W 340PD "J" frame. I think there is something to be said about not having to sight down your weapon and being able to view the entire situation during a confrontation. We'll see.
