Did these two calibers really make a significant presence in the Philippines? Or were they just blips on the radar and were hardly noticed?

last i heard was php 250/pc, more expensive than the 5.7 round at php 100/pc.

1,250 for a fully loaded cylinder.

have not seen a .45 GAP round yet. :) .357 SIG seems to be more common.

The 9mm, 10mm and 11.4mm are practically ballistic equivalents of each other. Muzzle energy, wound channelure, fragmentation and the theoretical OSS are practically equal. In the end, it's still the hit that counts.

Now we have SIG, S&W and Glock tring to outdo each other and perpetuate their corporate names to these exotic caliber designations, simple reincarnations of the same ammunition available since the early 1900's. Not new really, as Rem and Win had theirs plugged "in perpetua" to several rifle cartridges.

I can't wait to see a Jennings, phoenix, bersa, arcus, Feg, Bernardelli, Hatsan, Arcus, or Barak ammunition in 9.125mm , 10.33mm or 11.05mm configurations. ;)

The only .45 GAP ammo I've seen so far are a few boxes of Cor-Bon DPX at Nashe at 90 pesos a pop. Great carry ammo, but for now I have yet to see any ammo for practice.

I believe they'll catch on though. The same thing about the .40 cal was said a few years back, about how it'll never catch on here in the country, but nowadays most sport shooters use it. Factory loads and loading components are readily available.

Dadating din yan, because I believe that the GAP is well suited for the Filipino build (we have smaller hands than Americans) and we love firearms with a big bang.
