View Full Version : Need advice for AR15 repair
Need place to get an AR fixed.
What part of middle Ga?
that being said, how does it jam? FTF? Misfeed? Failure to eject?
I think it's bad ammo...failure to eject.
Does the bolt stay in a forward position or does the extractor "Slip" off the cartridge and then try to load another on top of it?
If it's the first then just don't use that ammo, if it's the second, make sure your extractor isn't damaged where it grips the cartridge, and if it's Okay , then get yourself one of these http://www.mgimilitary.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=4&zenid=eb6434e0c98f4ae48a352d5a4c0c0daf.
New extractor spring and/or a new extractor depending on the shape its in.
Thanks for the suggestions. Not looking for a diagnosis though....looking more for someone I can take it to have it checked out.
I personally will be up in Ga next week, but you could also take it to a decent gun shop.
I'm in Macon.
I understand that you want someone who knows the in' and out's of the AR type rifles, but the truth is , the AR is simple to work on.
If you would just buy a new Extrac.spring and try it out(or a D-fender D ring) like Ashe suggested, them im pretty sure this issue would be resolved.
If you insist on a gun shop, might i suggest "The Rifleman" and/or
"A-Z Guns".
