Trucks in Funeral Procession question

Obviously, when there is a department logo on the side of the truck, it gets the black line through it.

However, we are in a situation here where we don't have a department logo on the truck. Instead, on the drivers and passengers door we have text, Liberty Township Fire Department Raymond. This is in 3 rows. There is no department logo anywhere on the truck to cross out.

My question is, do we do a black line through the tape or leave it plain?

I would leave it plain. If its a member of your department I would go with the black bunting.

Yes I agree on the bunting.... I have been through several of these and I have never seen black "mourning bands" across a maltese or any other marking on a truck.

Bunting only goes on the truck carrying the casket. Mourning bands are standard on department logos, lower left to upper right.
