i just wanted to share...

i've been having feeding problems lately and i've just about given up on this gun, i've tried everything, i've even went against my solemn vow not to go to a gunsmith...bcos i said to myself, this is the beauty of my glock, i can gunsmith it myself...but after driving 3hrs. to delio or was it delfin of final option...wala rin nangyari, kasi wala na daw matatangal ang reamer....ok. i had some moderate success w/ stronghand lead 180gr., hhaaaaayyy i found myself contemplating about a paraord w/ beven grams tungsten magwell and maybe pagawa din ako sa kanya ng tungsten dust cover... hhhmmmm easily a 60oz. gun w/o mag hhhmmmm.

anyway my single stage got thru and w/ it was the lee deluxe 4 die set, i had some ammo left from the level 2 at tuy, batangas where i was jamming 2-3 time per stage and i guaged it sa barsto ko and sure enough sumasabit. so kaka tapos ko lang mag set-up and sabi ko padaanin ko kaya to sa FCD.....MAGIC! the bullets were dropping on the barsto chamber effortlessly. this FCD is the shyet...they really built a better mousetrap:thumbsup:

+1 on FCD. I used to have problem with my 9mm and 45ACP loads, after I bought the FCD for the respective calibers the rounds go thru the chamber without any hiccups.

Ditto, I use teh EGW Lee dies ( similar to FCD).

After the experience on 9mm and 45ACP, I bought the complete set for 40 S&W. Tanggal ang buntis even on Glock barrel.

Yes, you can use Lee dies on your Dillon but if you have the Dillon dies you don't have to buy Lee. I'm not familiar with Dillon but I believe they don't have an extra turret for an extra die. You'll have to make crimping an additional operation. Good luck in looking for one.

ah so 3 holes lang pala ang dillon presses???

Andrew the dillon550b has 4-holes for the dies - sizing/depriming, powder, seating, & crimp.

Choi, I use lee dies (38super setup) on my 550b - sizing/depriming die, seating die, & factory crimp die. The powder die is still dillon, cannot use the lee powder die with the dillon powder system.

On my other caliber setup 9mm/.45/.40 - i use lee dies for sizing/depriming & factory crimp die. Powder & Seating Dies are still dillon.

choi, if you already have the dillon dies, you can just buy the EGW undersize die to replace the dillon resize die or buy the Lee FCD die to replace the dillon crimp die. Pero yung combo ni jojo pareho kaya walang kawala talaga.

what is the difference between a lee crimper and a dillon crimper? if they do the same job why is it that lee crimpers are superior?

The lee fcd crimps and resizes the case at the same time. It resizes upto the base of the case. Some people don't want the lee fcd because in some cases it also resizes the bullet which may cause accuracy issues.
