What is your experience with the Landcruiser family? Are they really all they are cracked up to be? Do you love them/hate them, and why?
I'm about to pull the trigger on one and need more info.
Rust is the major problem with them. Interiors seem to wear out too. The engine is good for around 200K until a rebuild and there are things you can do if it dies, like a small block chevy. Also seem to be a decent amount of aftermarket parts and things like rear disc conversions. I know they aren't cheap to restore, though, but they are also gaining value, especially the FJ40 models. I personally like the FJ60 models, at least those made before they went to quad rectangular headlamps, which I believe was 1988.

You need a 97 F150 Lariat that hasn't been washed in 14 months.
