Do your empty G36 magazines drop from the frame when you press the magazine release or do they hang up half way?
My factory mags always hang up. The mags with Pierce +0 base plates drop free only half the time.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
I have the same problem and would also like to know if there is anything that could be done.

Unless you are using the gun for competition, I don't see that as real important. You have 7 rounds. The odds of using more than that for SD are very slim. Maybe on the order of getting hit by lightning.
I'm carrying my 36 tonight into a not so nice neighborhood, and I'm not concerned at all. So little in fact, that I'm not going to unload the gun to try and see if they drop free or not. My guess is some will some won't. Try pushing the release a little harder.

I never let it bother me, I still carry the gun. I always figured its because its difficult for me to push it as hard as most people because I'm left handed and use my middle or index finger to push it instead of a thumb.
All my empty mags drop right out. No problems.

My stock mags drop no problem, but my +1 mags hang up almost every time.
Although, I think the problem I'm having with the +1 mags is due to the extra plastic resting against my hand.
If I change my grip to not touch the +1 when I press the mag release, I have no problems. But who wants to concentrate on changing your grip to change your mags, thats why I only use them at the range and not for cary.
