My brother said that it is cheaper to get the 9mm in open, PROVIDED you have the proper components to load major 9.

sir isuzu...

When my brothers brought me to the State Match in Kentucky in 2004, I saw a couple of shooters with 9mm open guns. Since the power factor for major has been reduced, you won't have any problems as long as you have the right components to load major nine.

No problem! You might want to check several reloading data provided by powder manufacturers and check what materials are available locally.;)

sa US kasi, mura talaga ang 9mm shells. Mahal din ang .38super brass! tapos, madami competitions doon are lost brass matches. hindi na pinupulot mga basyo.

you will need heavy heads for major 9mm. the quality of our locally casted heads is not that good.

i don't know if locally available 9mm shells can withstand repeated reloading of 160++ pf! +p shells are hard to come by.

ang konti ng choices ng powders dito sa atin suitable for major9.

dito sa pinas, mas madali kung .38super pa rin ang gagamitin mo sa open gun.

In addition to the issues with brass, I think you'd be better off with .38 super because it's a lot easier to build a reliable gun in that caliber, or one of similar length like 9x23, .38 super comp, .38TJ, etc.

My brother is using 124 grains in his limcat 9 major. The 9 is a little bit more violent than the super. I agree, the .38 super is less finicky compared to the 9mm. Be sure if you go to a nine, get teh SV mags or get the steel spacers for the .38 super. Once fired MM brass here is 29.00 dollars / thousand. The advantage there is ou ahve pulot boys, Dito wala.
