PM9 slide stop won't engage manually. Help! :)

Ok, so I got my PM9 today and took it part first thing. I followed the instructions carefully and believe that it is back together correctly. I can rack the slide and dry fire it no problem. If am empty mag is inserted, the slide stop will engage and the action stays open. If I remove the mag, pull back the slide and manually try to engage the slide stop, NO GO. It will not engage as I am about 99% sure it did before I took it apart.

What did I do? I am really confident that I did nothing wrong and the gun is put back together correctly.

Never mind! I took it apart again and now it seems to be engaging manually.

Finicky little thing. I can't wait to go break it in.

Be very careful with the slide lock spring when you reassemble. It's pretty small and fairly easy to bugger up. Glad you got it back in action!

The slide stop spring can bite too. The first time that I took the slide off, or put it on, I don't remember that little spring got alongside of my fingernail and gave a very painful cut right next to the nail. Ouch.
