Hi folks. My trip to Texas over the weekend got cancelled, so I was sitting down Saturday morning to work when I started having chest pain. It got bad pretty rapidly and I called 911. I was admitted to the hospital and when my cardiac enzymes came back elevated, they did an angiogram. They found a problem and repaired it. Aside feeling like I had a telephone pole shoved into my groin, I general sense of blahness and numerous patchy bald spots, I am back home and on the mend. I was just discharged a couple of hours ago.

It was a minor attack and they tell me I will recover just fine. It won't even slow me down that much. You have to love modern medicine. I will be back working tomorrow morning and although this will slow me down a bit, this shouldn't have much impact on the time-lines I originally mentioned. I am going to go take a much-needed shower and rest right now. I will post more about this tomorrow and get started sorting out everything that needs to be done. I just wanted to let everyone know what is going on and assure you all that I am ok and things will be proceeding as discussed. Eric

Man, you need to slow down. Use the ban hammer and get rid of some of the tension around here.

I am glad you are going to be fine, but I know they told you to consider this a "shot across the bow".

Seriously, take care of yourself. This site is great, but not worth your health.

PS. I hope they did something about that face of yours. That is really gross with the skin coming off and all. Looks very painful in your picture too.

Eric;

Life's too short to worry about this place. It is more important that you take care of your health first.

Get some rest.

Glad to hear you're ok but at the same time am curious if this runs in the family or have you had a history of problems like this? How old are ya man?

Again, glad to hear you're ok.

Best wishes and prayers for a complete and speedy recovery. Please take it easy, and mend soon.

Don't forget the curative powers of your puppy. When I am sick, my dogs curl up on the bed with me, and I feel better. It sounds crazy, but it works for me.

Eric:

Take it easy and get this under control. Cardiac catheterization and PTCA/stenting is MUCH better than cardiac surgery! I see people in our cardiac OR all the time who have had PTCA/stenting and are now in for surgery. You DO NOT want to go that route! PM me if you want some more "heart healthy" advice.

Eric-

I hope you are feeling better. Kick back, relax, and pop in a nice, relaxing movie.

Maybe Aliens or Terminator 2.

Those always make me feel better. :)

Glad you are on the mend, take it easy!

When I get behind on work, I usually have an all-nighter or skip out on some all important family engagement.

The man here *Eric*, not to be outdone, goes and shimmies himself up a heart attack. *bravo!*

Seriously though, hope you're feeling better. And quit humping telephone poles!

One of my platoon SGT's used to have a punishment known as the Kaolafier. You had to walk up to a telephone pole, or comparably sized tree, turn around, do a handstand and put your feet on the tree, walk your torso up against the tree/pole with your hands, wrap your legs around the tree/pole, then wrap your arms around the tree/pole and hang upside down on it. On a bad day, he would have people hanging from every tree/pole in site. Eric

Get well soon, like the others said, upgrading GT can wait. While you're relaxing I recommend the following rentals:

Spartan: val kilmer
and all of the Jesse Stone movies: Tom Selleck...

actually, maybe you'd better stick to comedy... :)
