Suddenly, I can't seem to stop locking back the slide in the middle of a magazine while shooting the PM9. I've tried to remember to keep my thumbs away, but inevitably my mind drifts to trying to put shots on target, and I forget about the thumbs.
Is there a lower profile lever available? Anybody have pictures of a "shaved" lever?

I suppose you could have the slide lock trimmed, but before you do that, practice your draw and grip, really focusing on the grip, for about 15 minutes a day. Hopefully muscle memory will soon fix your problem without having to resort to modifying you weapon.
Just a thought. Good luck.

Take a close look at your slide-lock lever and spring. On some of the Kahrs (mine), the part of the slide lock that engages the mag follower is too long. It makes contact with the nose of the top bullet in the magazine. After being bumped enough times the spring wears out. I discovered my problem by disassembling the gun and putting the slide lock in the frame (without the slide installed). Next, insert a loaded mag into the frame. Now you can clearly see if there's contact between the lock and the nose of the top round.
If there isn't, then take measures to correct your grip.
