Romanian Training rifle

I have a bolt action Romainian training rifle I picked it up from an ad in the Shotgun News for like $39. Anyways I know some of you have seen the rifles around and I was wondering if you knew a set of scope rings that worked on this rifle.

A friend of mine bought a few of those rifles and they are great. He has done quite a bit of work on them, cleaning them up and accurizing. He had a hard time finding (good)rings to fit the small rail, so I think he milled the rails off and drilled/tapped for new mounts. I think he did this, but I am not 100% sure.

I think that if you can find some mounts that will work on the 10/22 factory rail(the pinch type, not the good weaver type)they should work. I will ask him what kind he thinks would work best for you next time I see him.

Where did you get that Romanian for $39?

I just tightened the hell out of a Tasco .22 scope, worked well for me. Fit real tight and is accurate at 100yds.
