PM9 - installing sights & aligning them

I'm placing my order tomorrow for a new DLC PM9 (model 9094) and also a set of XS Big Dot sights. I'm thinking about possibly trying to install the sights myself, and I have a couple of questions. Are these sights, or any night sights for that matter, hard to install on a PM9, and is there anything special I need to do this? Kahr wants $30 to install, and plus I'd have to pay for shipping the slide there. It might be worth it though if putting them on myself is too difficult or there's a good likelihood of damaging the gun. Also, how do you go about properly aligning the new sights when installing them and before locking them down? Thanks.

I would suggest that you find a local gunsmith and have him install them for you. My local gunsmith charges $15.00 to install sights. Another thing, my gunsmith uses a "press" to install the sights and then align them up, which I feel is a much better method as opposed to using a brass punch and mallet. :thumbsup:
