oversized safety on 870

How difficult it is to install an oversized safety on a Remington 870? I think it will help me get quicker 1st shots during 3gun matches. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I installed a Vang Comp oversize safety on one of my 870's and feel it's a bit to oversize for my style of mounting the weapon. I seem to disengage whether I want to or not. As for the installation, it takes under 10 minutes.

I am of the opposite feeling. I have the Vang on mine as well, but I would like an even bigger one. Unfortunately, thats as big as it gets.

I am a big fan of the Vang Comp dome head safety too. Easy to pop off when you need to without hunting for it, even with gloves on.

I use and installed the Vang Comp oversize safety. I prefer it over the standard remmy safety. Installation is a breeze. All you need is a punch set. The part comes w/ easy instructions. Remember to keep your finger over the "Hole" so you don't lose the detent spring.:wavey:

I put a Wilson/ Scattergun Tech big head safety on my project SBS. Easy 1-2 min replacement.
