When I was in, many, many moons ago.....it was 9mm in the Berettas.....most of the gunners mates on my ship swore by them.

Hmmmmm, when I was in we carried a 1911. I guess that makes it many, many centuries ago.:laughabove:

A lot of people I talk to do not like the DAK trigger.

The 1911's were great, but I saw one that ruptured on shooting after a 3rd District/CGGRUNY pistol qual session in NYC in 1986.
It was time for new pistols. I don't fault the Guard for the 92F M-9s, but I think the Sigs are a much better weapon. I have no personal experience with the DAK triggers, but I've read good things about them.
Sigarms makes a good product.I've owned a P220 in .45 and a SigPro 2340 in 357 Sig and enjoyed both.
Now I carry a G23 daily, and consider it to be an excellent weapon.

Not to change the subject, but any of y'all "Black Boat" crew? I got my start on WLB 394.

I like the 229, but HATE the DAK trigger. I can understand why they use it, being a heavier trigger pull, and the same pull every time, but it makes it a pain to get some shooters qualified. Would rather have the DA/SA P229.

I decommisioned the White Lupine back in 1998.

That ship was awesome.
