i see someone selling a new one for $550 for PM9093/4 and there's a used one in the store for $399 for PM9093. what do you think, are these good prices?
i almost want to go with the used one which has a 30-day bring it back warranty. never purchased a used weapon before....what should i look for? check for the barrel recall?

kensteele.....
I'd say either price sounds reasonable. I wouldn't have the courage to buy a used PM9, considering the problems they've had......however, with a 30 day warranty, I don't see how you can go wrong! If the timing were right, and if the same deal were offered to me, I might go with it.
The trouble with the PM9's is the barrel peening issue. Make sure you check the barrel where it meets the receiver real closely for evidence of this problem before you buy.
Make sure you buy a couple hundred rounds and test it out good. If it passes the test, ONLY then would I consider it a keeper.
edit: BTW, is that 30 day warranty offered by the dealer, consignment owner, or Kahr?

thanks for the advice; i'll check out the barrel for sure. the retail store said i could bring it back to them if there is a problem or if i don't like it.

Thats a great used price....but procede with caution. 30-day warranty, if its not voided by round count, is awesome.
As hogship mentioned, check for peening on the barrel. If its having feeding issues, some polish and a dremel takes care of that.
The Pm9 is a great gun. I am a glock lover, but single stack 9mm in a great package glock just doesnt offer.
Good luck with the purchase.
