Ok. I have a line on a duo-tone MK9 but I'm also still looking at getting a PM9. I've heard about some problems with the PM9 but the threads are all oer the place.
Can someone give a definitive list of the reported problems that the PM9 has experienced? Every model has some teething problems early on. I'm just trying to make sure I'm not making a purchase I might regret later.
There are several threads here but some people have been experiencing general feeding problems.
Little fluff and buff on the feed ramp and you should be fine.

After the initial 200 round break in with my PM9 I polished the feed ramp and have no hiccups since.
I'm also a big fan of using Militech on all of my firearms, and find it does a great job on pistols like Kahrs that have such tight clearances.

I thought I read somewhere of broken mag followers and faulty mag catches.
Another issue with the PM9's is peening of the barrel hood. See this thread here (http://www.glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=708469) which shows some of the problems that I had with a PM9 that I had earlier. As I understand it, though, the peening problem seems to have gotten better with the latest models.

I hear the metal guns are OK but I've had nonthing but bad luck with poly Kahr's.

I haven't had any issues with my PM9. I've run approximately 900~1000 rounds through it. I use it as my daily carry. I try to fire at least 18~24 rounds (both 124 grain Hydra-Shok JHP and 115 grain WWB) every week to keep "in practice." I do clean and lube it after each use (thank you Michigun for the excellent diagram)with TW-25. I really think these small pistols require more care and maintenance than Glocks and Sig's. Most of the problems people report could be prevented by following the lube diagram posted on this forum.

 We have two PM9's, and both have been 100% reliable since day one. We shoot hp. fmj and lead semi wad cutters bullets through them. They both have well over 1000 rounds fired through each of them with never a failure. Even though they worked flawlessly as stock, the things I did to them was to polish the feed ramp (which I believe is only a small improvement because of the steep feed ramp of a short stroke slide), polished the rear and sides of the barrel hood extension, disassembled the slide and then polished the breach face, and the extractor. Polishing the extractor did two things, 1: polishing the knife edge and the inside face aides in chambering the round coming out of the mag, 2: since we load the first round by locking back the slide, dropping a round into the chamber and pulling back and then riding the slide foreword, I polish the front face of the extractor to help it to ride over the case rim. (This isn't a 1911). We've done this since 1999 with K9s and haven't had a problem. It only takes a light tap at times to put the slide into battery. We don't use the slide release to drop the slide because it will eventually round off the right angle of the slide release notch, and it will batter the frame because there isn't any resistance to slow the slide down as when it's stripping a round out of the mag.

I fired my PM9 for qualification the other day. I was shooting Speer GDHP 124gr+p in it. The only problem I experienced was a slight "drag" when the slide returned to battery for one round. (it was as if I was watching the gun perform in slow motion). I am not sure how that happened or what caused it, perhaps the gun was a bit dry before shooting. However, the gun performed flawlessly and the quals went without a problem. I have experienced this "drag" with other guns before and usually attribute it to a lubrication issue. I am guess that I need to invest in some dry lube or something thicker than Hopps gun oil for the Kahr.
