Request from P9/CW9 owners

Can anyone use either calipers or a tape measure to measure from the top of the slide to the bottom of the mag when a mag is inserted into the grip?

I'm trying to compare it to my Kel Tec PF9 but don't have any stores around who carry both models. I'm not sure they'd be too happy with me pulling the PF9 out of my waistband and trying to compare them...

I had a PM9 a while back and want to go back to Kahr. I think the P/CW series will suit me better.

It's roughly 4.75" with the factory 7 round mag.

The top of the slides on both guns are even, I know it doesn't look like it, but they are. I hope this is the answer you want.

I've never shot either the CW9 or the PF9...but I just ran across this thread (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=293770) over on The High Road.com in which people are comparing the CW9 and the PF9. Most folks feel that the CW9 is easier to shoot than the PF9.

It shows what I originally thought...

I can fit three fingers on a P/CW and only two on a PF. This makes the Kel Tec seem shorter, but as the pictures show the Kahr just has a shorter slide system than the Kel. Triggers are better too!
