HK Finish

I have two HK and I have not had them very long and was just wondering if the finish on them holds up very well. I have had Glocks and I know that you can not get them to show wear and rust no matter how you treat them and was just wondering about the HK. I have also owned a XD and after one day of carring the subcompact it started showing rust and the next morning the side was cover with it. So I am very courious on how my HK are going to hold up, If anyone has one with alot of use and carry please let me know how it did.:thumbsup:

If they have the HE (harsh enviroment) finish, they will hold up. It is the same as the Glock finish. All of the HK pistols being sold now should have the HE finish, but check your owner's manual or contact HK to find out for sure.

I think it's called Hostile Environment. Either way it's a solid finish. The black may fade with a lot of holster wear but the metal is still protected.
