Does not seem to be much action on this site but just wanted to introduce myself and let you folks know that I just ordered my Steyr 9MA1 from CDNN today. Hard to get much information on these pistols but from what I could find out they are fine firearms and very underrated. Besides, I am getting a brand new pistol at virtually a used gun price. Basically this seems like what I need to do:
1. Field strip the gun and clean and lube.
2. Dry fire and work the slide.
3. Take it out and break it in.
Anything else I should do with my new Steyr?
Thanks
The only things beyond what you listed are....A) Enjoy the experience.....B) Tell others.....C) Google "Steyr Club" and find a bunch of other "Steroids" to chat with and exchange info.
Congrats on the purchase and welcome to "life after Glock"
 :wavey:
I am also surprised at the lack of traffic on here, but moreso about the lack of exposure people have for this lovely little gem.
These are truly hidden jewels and we need to grab them all up while we can at these prices.
the lack of traffic is actually due to we outgrew this little corner of glocktalk there were so many posts every day in this one little forum we neeeded room to divide up the holster threads from the rifle threads and pistol threads etc.
we migrated over to www.steyrclub.com as a direct growth from here with the same original members (the stickies at the top of this forum are over there too).
Anything else I should do with my new Steyr?
Lotsa shooting.:)

Also disassemble/clean your magazines. Mine were very sticky. Great thing about Steyr mags is that they come apart very easily. Nothing like the Glock magazine struggle.
