I would like to know the front dovetail measurements and angles for P7PSPs and M8s. I really would like to fit a TruGlo TFO front sight to my pistols. If they make a set for anything W/ a close front, I can work with heights and am willing to buy sets to get the fronts. Thanks in advance. Other than height, are the dovetails the same on P7s and M8s?

Don't know where I read this but I was told that the best route is to order the Tritium inserts for the existing sites and never bother to mess with the rear sites on the P7 series.
If you find out otherwise PLEASE post here.

I don't know where that is either but since I am taking the crash coarse on the P7, I have seen that as well...send your slide to Trijicon (or elsewhere but I have good experience with Trij) and let them do it...most people report their sights are RIGHT ON from the factory...don't mess with perfection...;)

Thanks guys but I have tritium sights on my pistols now. What I am interested in are Truglo "TFO" tritium fiber optic. The sights are longer with a fiber optic tube, but also have a tritium vial buried at the front. Very bright in daylight as well as night/low light. Fast acquisition and allegedly quite rugged. [ Old eyes need help]
They can be seen here /

I'm only interested in replacing the fronts. I guess the smart thing to do would be to call them after the long holiday weekend.

Yes; know the ones you are talking about. I have a set to go into my Kimber TLEII/RLII or Custom II (TBD).
I don't know if they have a set meant for the P7's and if they do.. and you want to insert it into your P7M8 especially, I gather that it may not be such a tough job as the P7M8 has replacement front sights of differing heights that are meant to be user replaceable (I have not personal knowledge of this... just from the manuals).
I too would love to replace the front sight with a Tru Glo or some brighter than a pinhead Trijicon sight for rapid target acquisition. Let us know how you fare.
I would give Tru Glo and HK BOTH a call after the weekend. Please let us know the route to go. I'm there.

Torontogunguy,
Just had a response over at Park Cities Tactical [ Cult of the P7 ] "I am in the process of having fiber optics made for the P7 series, the PSP, M8 & M13.
Hope to be able to ship in the next 30 days. Jimmy A Hughes" . I will keep you apprised when I see what he's doing.
