Used Rem 870 price

Guy I know is looking to sell his Remington 870 Magnum shotgun. He says it's like the Wingmaster, but with a Parkerized finish. He bought it from a LEO a few years ago, no idea how old it is. Looks good in the picture, and I'm going to check it out in person on Tuesday. He wants $250. Is that a good price, or should I try to knock him down a bit? I know these are good guns, but don't know much else about them. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Not a bad price for the Police version.

I'd always suggest showing up with cash and offering less on used gun transactions.

Buy it at $200.00 and be done with it. It's still a good buy at $250.00 but I just couldn't pay that much.
