where to get a nice used 870?

im looking at getting an 870....id like the police model but regardless id like something used to keep cost down....

im in NJ and have no idea on where to start looking... any help?

Pawn shop?
I dont know about NJ, but here in Indianapolis, Mossberg 500's and Remington 870's fill the cases at the pawn shops.

Id stick to an older 870 with more metal parts and no detents in the magazine tube.

no pawn shops around here that i know of, andi doubt they would have firearms, was really trying to see if there was anyone from around here that knew of specific places i could check out

If you "dont" have to have a 870 the Nova is what I would go for in the same price range or abouts new.

You can go into Wally World and pick up an 870 Express Magnum for about $275 or so. You could take it and make it whatever you wanted. That's what I am going to do when I have all the other gun purchases out of the way. I think I would like the Turkey Model that comes with a 21 inch barrel. All you'd have to do to that baby is add an extended mag tube and maybe a side saddle and you'd be set.
