CCW training in El Paso?? Where?

I'll be stationed in El Paso for the next year, and I would like to get a concealed weapons permit while I'm here. I know of atleast one other guy in my class who wants to do it with me, and there will probably be more when we start asking around.

I'm not really interested in just walking into a place, filling out paperwork, and getting a permit. My buddy has limited knowledge of handguns (he's a hunter, so he knows mostly rifles), and he could use some good training. Hell, I could use some training too.

Anyway, where in El Paso can we go to get some training and obtain licenses? Keep in mind our availability is limited mostly to the weekends due to our training schedule here. I'd like to stick near Ft. Bliss, but I can drive a bit if it's worth it.

I tried Google, but that didn't show much for me, and Packing.org is down.

I'd check with some of the local gun shops, they usually have a wealth of information. I hope you enjoy Ft. Bliss, I spent many hot days and cold nights in the desert training w/ the 3rd ACR from 92-94 at Ft. Bliss.

I got some information from the owner of a military surplus store down the road, and a good tip from my company's NCOIC.
I think I'll be set for what I need, but if anyone else has any personal insight, please feel free to add.
