"2nd Amdt News Forum" Starring HerrGlock

When this whole things gets up and running, how about giving HerrGlock his own "2nd Amendment News" thread on here?


That way people who DO want to read his stories can go through and find them easier and people who don't won't have to click the link. Plus it will keep some of the weight off GNG.

People don't seem to like that idea they say there's enough specialized forums already and a lot of good information is in places they never go as it is.

Herr's threads are the only thing of value on GNG. There are already lots of dead forums. Don't do that to Herr's threads.

Keep them in GNG so more people are exposed to them.

GNG is marked non gun related topics for a good reason. I can appreciate that you think of yourself as a very serious CNN roving gun news freelance reporter but it defeats the purpose of the GNG. Eric can give you a very pretty, gun related news forum and you can copy and paste there while listening to the Starland Vocal Band - singing Afternoon Delight!

Every once in a while someone comes along who figures they can run Eric's site better than him.

I've gotten about 10:1 for keeping up news items in previous times. Eric's slapped me down once when the Assault Weapon ban was going to expire and honestly I agreed with him that it was getting out of hand. Other than that, I've had more thank yous and compliments than I can count.

Perhaps you could start your own forum that you can post in and not be bothered by other's opinions.

I posted here because if this were in GNG it would be on Page 9 within 24 hours or would turn into a global warming/Islam/pit bull/tatoo thread; and I didn't post in the Support Forum because of the stuff I've posted there it's never even generated a reply from a mod/admin.


It might have been suggested before, but with the new server space it might actually be made into a reality if enough people request it, say.....fifty.

What you do, is kinda spam the living hell out of GNG. Let Eric give you your own GUN NEWS and LAWS Forum, then you can continue with your flood of 70 plus gun related threads per week. GNG is not about guns, right?

You dont write anything, you cut and paste articles, that is why you flood/spam so damn easily. It takes only a few minutes to cut and paste 10 new articles into 10 threads. If you had to actually take the damn time and actually write a real paragraph or two for each single thread you started, you would not be able to flood/spam the area like you do.

You should keep all your simple cut and paste jobs in one dedicated Gun News forum. Add that forum to the Main Forum, so its next to GNG but not in it. Your cut and paste forum could also be a sub forum attached to GNG because you are abusing the only forum that people go to here to get away from gun related stuff. You dont understand that or dont want to?

The rest of GT is gun related, you are being manipulative and selfish by force feeding people your gun/law articles in the only place that is suppose to be gun free and OFF Topic. That is why Eric created the Gun Control Issues Forum, for your exact niche. Threads get moved out of the GNG all the time, the mods should start moving your cut and paste gun related jobs as well. Cutting and pasting us to death is equivalent to Spam and its lazy. IF you want to Force Feed us, do it in a designated forum for the correct subject matter.

I cut and paste too, but not to spam levels and they are not GUN RELATED while in the GNG.

When I open the GNG, I dont want to SEE a dozen Gun or Law news articles from a dozen different States, all very simple Cut and Paste jobs and all Gun or Law related. It totally kills the atmosphere and ambiance of the original GNG and it is not what the GNG was intended for when created.

You have turned the GNG into GUN CONTROL ISSUES. You have defeated GNG's purpose and intent.

GNG has the most traffic because it was the Off topic forum, people like off topic discussions, you are being selfish by making the topics all on topic, what the rest of GT is there for.

Seeing the different articles from all the different States makes me want to pass a kidney stone, because its less torture.

If I wanted to read Gun/laws/States articles and they were all together in HerrGlocks own forum, that would be different. It is one thing to seek the info out of free will, it is the complete opposite to be force fed in the wrong forum against your will, a place that is suppose to offer relief from that very topic.

Look, why don't you lighten up? If you do not want to read HerrGlock's posts, don't read them. If <b><font color="red">I</font></b> think his posts are a problem, <b><font color="red">I</font></b> will deal with it. You seem to be worried about posting conduct here. Why don't you take another look at the posting rules concerning personal behavior and conduct towards others?

While I did have a disagreement with HerrGlock's news posting once in the past, I have no problem with the way he is handling it now. I think his threads are a benefit to the GNG forum. While creating another forum for his threads might make sense to some, to me it does not. It will not get the traffic that those threads see in GNG and the threads would die on the vine. While the new system WILL have a news center of some sort, I would like to see HerrGlock continue to do his thing in GNG. Eric
