View Full Version : Russian equivalent of the .50 cal.
Crude looking but ass kicking. Parang dalawang shock absorbers pa sa ilalim,
The gun the Russkies call the "Dashika", DShK, developed before World War II and now replaced by the NSV, also in 12.7mm x 108. The Americans call it the .51 caliber during the Vietnam War. According to a Knob Creek account (ChowChow, have you been there? Machine guns galore!), it was louder than a Browning .50 cal. What they fired was Chinese-made, formerly serving on top of an Iraqi tank in 1991, and an actual Vietnam veteran.:)
There's a bigger one, the 14.5mm KPVT, standard turret machinegun of Russian BTR APCs.
How about this one from the U.S.of A.. Very good looking piece of metal.

Yes, I use one for CCW.
Made by Dillon precision. Dillon Aero.
Made in 1938 lang pala ito. I remember these were used by Afghan Mujahids shooting down Russian choppers in the 80s.
