What do you mean? He had no chance at all. At the early rounds he tried to go on a full slugging match with Manny, but I don't think he can take Manny's onslaught, that's why all he did was ran away from Manny after that.
At the end, I thought Manny can still go for another 10 rounds. No sign of fatique whatsoever.
The only disappointment was Barrera didn't have a taste of the floor (he got a nasty split on his right cheek though). ' would've been a more spectacular fight.

I think Manny's career could be over. Nobody can give him a good challenge. He has beat every name out there.. Manny would eat marquez alive if they fight again.. Should he go up in weight?:)

Well, there's Marquez, if Arum and de la Hoya can continue
to keep things between them civil.

I thought Pac was a little off his game.
He got it right for awhile, cutting off Barrera's bicycle path,
but then the next several rounds, the only times he got to
Barrera was when the latter decided to engage.

If it was me, I'd not consider the Cebu-based training regime
again, not unless the fight was in SEA... but what do I know?
:)

Bad idea. Elorde did it and got pummeled by Ortiz, a natural welterweight.

At 5'6", he'd be small compared to 5'10 - 6 footers common in the division, like Chavez Jr., dela Hoya, the late Corrales and the defending champ Casamayor.

It'd be better if he aims to break the record 7 year reign of Elorde at jr lightweight, if "immortality" is what he's aiming for.

Oh, that one. Pacman was really pissed, I could tell, I thought he was going to go in a blaze of furry after that, but he was able to contain himself. Good for him for not giving-in, there's always that "lucky shot" that could bring him down, you know.
Manny was the aggressor during the entire fight, but he was very cautious. He had really improved a lot after the first Morales fight.

The "I was head butted" comment by Barrera on the interview was kinda annoying too. It was a fist that made the cut on his face not a head butt.

I hope many more from the pearl of the orient would come out as sport champs in the future.
Mabuhay!

Gumagastos ba ang phil government sa basketball development, hindi naman yata eh. Puro private sponsors lang naman basketball.

Soccer and cycling? Mukhang mas mahirap lalo yun. Billiards na lang.

All he did was run away, not to get hit. Manny did all the engaging...

That's why the lead was 9 rounds to 3! Personally, I think Pacquiao gave too much respect to Barrera's power. Those double piston two-fisted attack he used during the first fight disappeared. The original Pacquiao flair got replaced with dull, conventional one-two's. Very defensive na ngayon. Tagong tago na ang panga ni Manny, probably due to his near KO at the third rd of the Larios fight. Better dull than dead...

Those potent sidestep attacks he used before is practically missing now. Pero baka lang naman nagpapa-dama lang kay Marquez, para kumagat.

Cycling would be good. Bowling, chess, shooting sports (not just IPSC), maybe swimming and diving too.

If we can reward our cyclists the way we reward our mediocre basketball players, I bet we will discover the manny pacquiao of cycling somewhere delivering newspapers
Anyway , we'll have a cycling star soon enough
W/ the number of pinays in Italy , I bet we'll have a fil-italian cycling star soon
Football, well I'll bet we do better than it than basketball hehe
