Hi all,

While I was in Manila, I observed that new cars all sport plates starting with Z, while here in Cebu it's Y. The LTO is clearly about to run out of letters. Any idea what the new plates will look like when this happens? I saw some with three letters but only two numbers; are these commemorative or the new plates?:)

Oh ok, thanks. Just wondering. Does this affect only new vehicles or do we all get issued (for a rather steep fee of course:supergrin: ) new plates regardless of the age of our vehicles come renewal of registration? I do recall the pre-N for (NCR) or G (for Region 7) plates, and how when the new (and present) system came along everybody had to change plates.

That's interesting. So if you got the three letter - two number plate you get bragging rights.

Will do soon as I can. For now I'm interested in getting my 16-plate (RTC rank; I'm with the NLRC) so when I get assigned in NCR ligtas ako sa coding.

I thought they were going to include numbers in the first 3 characters.
