Proving to a licensing authority that you can exercise your rights in a competent manner applies to the Second Amendment, but not to the first.

1) SC law does not require citizens to secure their weapons, and

2) a person cannot lawfully use deadly force to protect property in SC.

I thought about replying to this letter to the editor, but then again I really dont have the energy to argue with another idiot today.
